Coconut Coriander Thogayal ( Thuvaiyal ) is a common chutney recipe that is found commonly in Indian Hindu wedding sadhyas. The corainder, tamarind addded gives a nice taste and flavor to the Thuvaiyal.Hence Coconut Thogayal is easy to prepare as well as different from the traditional thengta chutney recipe.

 

Ingredients of Coconut Kadambha Thuvaiyal Recipes


1. Coconut 1/2 Cup Grated

2. Chopped Tomato 1/2 cup

3. Chopped onion 1 cup

4. Curry leaves 1/2 cup

5. Coriander leaves 1/2 cup

6. Ginger 1 piece

7. Red chilli 8

8. Tamarind size of a amla

9. Salt to taste

10. Asafoetida a pinch

11. Mustard 1/2 tsp

12. Urad Dhall 1/2 tsp

 

How to Prepare Thuvaiyal Recipes | South Indian Thuvaiyal Kadambha

 


 

1. Heat 1 tsp of oil. Add mustard, urad dhall, curry leaves and red chilli saute for two mins.
2. Add tomato, onion, ginger, grated coconut and coriander leaves and saute well.
3. Allow the fried mixture to cool.
4. Grind it to a fine paste.
5. Heat oil in a kadhai add mustard seeds, urad dhall, curry leaves.
6. Add the grinded paste to the oil and mix well.
